HEAD - brown

Row 1 – ch2, 5sc in 2^nd ch from hook

Row 2 – 2sc in each st around

Row 3 – *sc in next st, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 4 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 5 – *sc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 6-9 – sc all around

Row 10 – *sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 11 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 12 - *sc in next st, sc2tog* repeat til end

BODY - brown

Row 1 – ch2, 6sc in 2^nd ch from hook

Row 2 – 2sc in each st around

Row 3 – *sc in next st, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 4 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 5-9 – sc all around

Row 10 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 11-12 – sc all around

Row 13- *sc in next st, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 14 – sc all around

ARMS

Row 1 – using brown, ch2, 4sc in 2^nd ch from hook

Row 2 – 2sc in each st around

Row 3 – sc all around

Row 4 – using white, sc all around, change back to brown

Row 5-8 – sc all around

LEGS

Row 1 – using brown, ch2, 4sc in 2^nd ch from hook

Row 2 – *sc in next st, 2sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 3 – sc all around

Row 4 – using white, sc all around, change back to brown

Row 5-8 – sc all around

BUTTON FOR THE BODY [make 2]

Ch2, 3 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, sl st to 1^st sc, fasten off

Other instructions:

Put the eyes on the head and sew on a sweet smile

Stuff the head, body, arms and legs

Sew the buttons to the body

Sew the appendages to the body

Once you’ve sewn on the head to the body, flatten the head a bit so that it can be more gingerbread man like, don’t flatten it too much though.
