Jemma Gingerbread Girl Pattern

HEAD - brown

Row 1 – ch2, 5sc in 2nd ch from hook

Row 2 – 2sc in each st around

Row 3 – *sc in next st, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 4 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 5 – *sc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 6-9 – sc all around

Row 10 – *sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 11 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 12 - *sc in next st, sc2tog* repeat til end

BODY - brown

Row 1 – ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook

Row 2 – 2sc in each st around

Row 3 – *sc in next st, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 4 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 5-6 – sc all around

Row 7 – using red, using blo only, sc all around

Row 8-9 – sc all around

Row 10 – *sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 11-12 – sc all around

Row 13- *sc in next st, sc2tog* repeat til end

Row 14 – sc all around

Skirt – through the front loops of row 7 of the body, ch 3 then make 2dc in the same st, 3dc in next st until the end, once you’re at the end, sl st to the 2nd chain you main and fasten off

ARMS

Row 1 – using brown, ch2, 4sc in 2nd ch from hook

Row 2 – 2sc in each st around

Row 3 – sc all around

Row 4 – using red, sc all around, change back to brown

Row 5-8 – sc all around

LEGS

Row 1 – using brown, ch2, 4sc in 2nd ch from hook

Row 2 – *sc in next st, 2sc in st after* repeat til end

Row 3 – sc all around

Row 4 – using red, sc all around, change back to brown

Row 5-8 – sc all around

Other instructions:

Put the eyes on the head and sew on a sweet smile

Stuff the head, body, arms and legs

Sew the appendages to the body

Once you’ve sewn on the head to the body, flatten the head a bit so that it can be more gingerbread man like, don’t flatten it too much though.
