Amigurumi Balloon Pattern
so as a little christmas eve gift, here’s a little amigurumi balloon pattern! i hope you all have an amazing christmas and have fun making these bundles of adorableness!

Materials:
Mercerized crochet thread
Fiberfill stuffing
Tapestry needle – small
White thread
Crochet hook 6 [steel hook, the small one]
Pattern:
Row 1: ch2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook [6]
Row 2: 2sc in each st around [12]
Row 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end [18]
Row 4: *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end [24]
Row 5: *sc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat til end [30]
Row 6-9: sc all around [30]
Row 10: *sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end [24]
Row 11: sc all around
Row 12: *sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog* repeat til end [18]
Row 13: sc all around
Row 14: *sc in next st, sc2tog* repeat til end [12]
Row 15: through backloops only, sc all around
Through the front loops of Row 14, ch 3 [count as 1 dc] and dc in the same st, 2dc in the next st and in every stitch until you have a total of 24 dc including the ch 3
Further Instructions:
Stuff the balloon until it is firm. Make sure that it is shaped nicely and correctly. Weave in the ends of the balloon, pull tightly and close the space. Cut off the long tail. In order to place the string of the balloon, just insert a long piece of white mercerized thread through the middle bottom of the balloon, insert through until you reach the top middle, once you are at the top middle, insert it in the same place where you pulled it out of, pull through until you are back at the bottom of the balloon but make sure that it is not in the same place where you inserted, tie the two pieces together and knot it tightly, cut off one of the pieces of thread leaving one as your main thread of the balloon.
