Materials:

4 ply worsted weight acrylic yarn in red, white and orange

a bit of black embroidery floss/yarn

*optional* black felt

Crochet hook G  (for yarn)

Fiberfill stuffing

Tapestry needle

Safety Eyes 

Pattern:

Head  [red]

R1: ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook

R2: 2 sc in each st around

R3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in st after* repeat until the end of the round

R4: *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat until the end of the row

R5: *sc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 sc in st after* repeat until the end of the row

R6-11: sc all around

R12: *sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc2tog in next* repeat until end of the row

R13: *sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog in next* repeat until end of the row

Start stuffing

R14: *sc in next st, sc2tog in next* repeat until end of the row

R15: sc in every other st

Cut leaving a regular tail and weave in all ends

Eyeballs [white]

ASSEMBLY:

Using a pet brush, brush out the head, body and apendages making it look furry. Attach safety eyes to the white eye. Sew eyes and nose to the head of the elmo. Sew arms and legs to the body. Sew body to the head. Using black yarn, sew on a mouth. [optional: cute out felt shaped like elmo’s mouth and attach]  Fluff it out and give it to a loved one or keep it for just its adorableness.
